Vic Howell Integrity Scholarship

This award will be given to those individuals with a high level of integrity. The amount of this scholarship will vary depending on the donated funds available each year. The Howell family will choose a recipient(s) from the already awarded BOCA Scholarship recipients. This scholarship will continue for as long as there are continued donations dedicated to this program. The BOCA eligibility and document requirements apply to this scholarship.

 

Bill Owen Rural Area Vet Scholarship

This is a new scholarship program currently in the beginning stages of building a financial portfolio. This program will help Veterinarians who choose to practice in the Rural areas of Arizona on animals such as cattle, horses, sheep, pigs, etc. There is a serious need for veterinarians in the rural areas of Arizona. This scholarship will help Rural Area Veterinarians financially with their student loan debt. Further details regarding this program are forthcoming. It is important to fund the portfolio first, your support is important for the success of this program.

All About BOCA

Bill Owen (1942-2013) founded The Arizona Cowpuncher’s Scholarship Organization, Inc. (which came to be known as ACSO) in 1995. The name has now been legally changed to Bill Owen, Cowboy Artist, Memorial Scholarship Fund, Inc. (to become known as BOCA) to honor Bill’s memory and the legacy he left behind.

Important Dates

The next BOCA Board of Directors meeting to be held for the purpose of reviewing scholarship applications is scheduled for March 6, 2025. Letters notifying applicants of the results should be emailed by March 17, 2025.
